Four Hurdles, One Island Booth — and a Five-Star Finish
An island booth at CES leaves no room to hide and no time to recover. When flooring, freight, labor and graphics all tested us at once, our team stayed calm, adapted fast, and handed UltraSense a finished booth — before the doors opened.

A Showcase Footprint, Seen From Every Side
UltraSense Systems returned to CES with a 20×30 island at the Las Vegas Convention Center — open on all four sides, the most exposed footprint on the floor. It has to read flawlessly from every angle, and at a venue this tightly run, the install window is unforgiving.
We were glad to partner with UltraSense again. And as with any large island build, a few situations surfaced along the way — each one a chance for our team to step in and take care of it, so the client could simply focus on their show.

Everything That Could Slip, Slipped — at Once
Show week rarely runs in a straight line, and this one tested us on four fronts in quick succession. Here’s how the team worked through each, keeping everything on course for doors-open.
Making the floor feel just right
As prep moved forward, we noticed carpet padding hadn’t been included in the original quote — an easy detail to miss, but an important one on a booth this size.
Adapting around a freight schedule
The shipment ran a little late, and because the venue enforces strict advance-freight conditions, the early drop-off couldn’t be accommodated — so materials were unloaded off-site.
Bringing in extra hands at the right moment
With the freight routed elsewhere for a time, our primary crew briefly had limited materials to work with — and show day was approaching.
Perfecting the door and counter
A couple of graphic pieces — the door panels and the counter, including the counterstep — came back at sizes that didn’t quite match the design.
Ready, Polished, and Signed Off — Before Doors Opened
When the doors opened, the UltraSense island was ready — polished, complete, and standing exactly as designed. Every hurdle had been met and resolved before a single visitor arrived.
UltraSense signed the handover with a five-star rating: the moment that means the most to us, because it reflects a client who felt confident and well taken care of from start to finish.
