Forplax at TISE: 20×30 Island Booth Build | Exhibit Rentals

The 20×30 We Built Twice — So It Was Perfect Once

A modular island is only as good as the structure beneath it. Getting Forplax’s right meant building it, testing it, and building it again until nothing could go wrong on show day.

The Brief

A Showcase Footprint With No Room for Wobble

Forplax arrived at TISE — The International Surface Event at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center — with high hopes for their 20×30 island. A footprint that size is seen from every aisle, so it has to look flawless and stand rock-solid from the first hour to the last.

From our very first planning conversation, we knew this booth would live or die on its engineering. So that’s exactly where we put our energy — long before a single panel reached the show floor.

Before the Show

Engineering It Right the First Time

Great booths aren’t lucky — they’re prepared. Weeks before TISE, our team made a series of deliberate engineering choices to give Forplax a structure they could trust completely.

  • Sturdier panelsWe upgraded to 1992 mm panels for noticeably better stability across the large structure.
  • Compatible framing496 mm modular frames kept every section consistent and reliable.
  • Tested before the floorWe shipped items from our warehouse to test graphics alignment on mockup frames in advance.
  • Built to lastSupport feet were mandated for structural stability, heading off issues before they could appear.
During the Build

Where Patience Paid Off

All that preparation met its test during assembly — and this is where the groundwork earned its keep. A couple of hurdles surfaced, but because we’d planned for stability over shortcuts, we could work through them without breaking stride.

Assembly

Getting every frame exactly right

The structure called for building and testing the frames several times over — a genuinely time-consuming part of the job.

How we took care of itOur team stayed calm and methodical, working through each build-and-test cycle until the island was perfectly aligned and completely solid.
Finishing

Sweating the final details

As assembly wrapped, a little wrinkling appeared on some of the boards.

How we took care of itWe smoothed out the finishing on-site so every surface read crisp and professional under the show lights.
The Payoff

It Didn’t Just Stand — It Impressed

When the last panel locked into place, the booth did exactly what we’d engineered it to do: stand rock-solid and look the part from every angle. Stable, crisp, and precisely the showcase Forplax had pictured.

The client signed the handover form and left a five-star rating — the kind of finish that makes every extra build-and-test cycle more than worth it.
